The Job
Ensure a safe, environmentally compliant and cost effective Mechanical
Maintenance, Electrical Maintenance, and Instrumentation Maintenance service and
repair function to Power & Desal (PBD). The service is aimed at minimizing
downtime of power generation, water production and air and gas supply systems
serving the DUBAI, PBD site and 3rd party customers.
- Responsible for servicing. repairing and maintaining all the machinery and
equipment associated wth the Power Station and Desalination Plant
- Immediate and effective response to urgent defect maintenance needs of tee
whole Power & Desal generation complex. This includes the support provided when
plant fails to start 24 / 7
- Careful management of well planned service, maintenance and upgrade outages
designed to improve the reliability (starts when needed) and availability (nine
without breakdown) of the range of plant on site.
- Close daily contacts with the entire P60 Maintenance team (Mechanical,
Electrical, and Instrumentation). the planning Section and the Warehouse, and
Purchasing sections in order to ensure a coordinated visit the job once
approach to maintenance activity site wide.
- To plan maintenance projects that will be carried out during winter months
in order to provide maximum availability of power generation equipment during
the summer when the warms ambient condition decreases the equipment efficiency
and output.
- Responsible for the economic maximization of equipment life, availability
end reliability by careful monitoring of component conditions both on load and
during maintenance.
- Ensures that all EHS, practices and procedures are developed and adhered to
be all department personnel thus minimizing the risk of work place accidents and
injuries.
- Identify and determine benchmark criteria for comparison against the OEMS
and other similar industries to determine if DUBAL maintenance performance end
achievements are comparable with world class record.
- Plan and determine the Warehouse inventory in order to optimize inventory
stock value but in the context of 23 different gas turbines ranging from 30
years to 9 months.
The Person
* Well rounded expereicne and expertise in major planned, corrective end
preventive maintenance on any of the following Power Generation Equipments
- 8 units of John Brown Frame, 5 Gas Turbine
- 13 units of Foster Wheeler Frame 5 Waste Heat Boiler
- 5 units of John Brown Frame 96 Gas Turbine
- 1 unit Of ABB /ALSTOM GT13DM
- 1 unit ABB/AISTDM Heat Recovery Steam Generator
- 2 unit of SIEMENS Steam Turbine 6 units of GE Frame 9E Gas Turbine
- 11 units of CMI/ ALSTOM Heat Recovery Steam Generator
- 3 units of ALSTOM Steam Turbine
- 3 units of ALSTOM GT13E2
- Various type of control and instrument systems
Not less than a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical
or Electronics and or Electromechanical Engineering
10 years in a supervisory/ middle management on heavy industrial site
preferably Power Generation & Distribution, power Rectification
Excellent commend of the English Language both verbal and written
Highly developed leadership skills
Excellent problem solver
Team player
Well developed SKILLS in report writing
Excellent interpersonal skills
Extensive experience in Gas turbine (mechanical, electrical or
instrumentation)
Extensive experience in Power Station utilities /Auxiliaries Added Value
